Angel was looking for a straightforward way to get job offers after college. Before he joined the program, he had an hourly minimum wage job working in IT. He just finished his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and wanted to start his career in robotics. He worked with Liz and in 90 days, secured multiple job offers for robotics roles at startups and corporations. After negotiating offers, he chose the Robotics Deployment role at Amazon where he now leads installations of robotics and automation equipment at new fulfillment centers in North America.

Mechanical Engineer Creates Prototype as a Segue into Robotics
Robert came to us to enhance his "hands-on" prototyping and coding skills so that he could build a model "Spot" robot dog — the infamous robot from Boston Dynamics. Just having a clear pathway forward in his project with guidance and direction helped him make progress on his project. We helped him gain clarity around his project so that he could add robotics to his resume.
In Robert's words:
"It's sad when a project you're working on reaches a standstill...well what do I do now? Liz helped me map out the next steps that I can take to make progress on my robot..." I didn't know where to head next in my project. I decided to work with Liz to have her help me map out the next steps. I have a mechanical background and have never programmed a walk cycle. This gave me clarity on what to do next to move forward with my robot and get it programmed and working!"

Robby came to us with a non-technical background in sales. He was tasked to manage business processes at his company and was drowning in manual, repetitive tasks. Zade came to us with an idea for an AI GameBot that could be played with a physical checkers board. He was competing in his schools science fair and wanted to place in the top 3 to move forward to regional competition.
Before working with Liz, Zade had basic python skills but had never worked with electronics or hardware.
After working with Liz, in 12 weeks, Zade completed his AI GameBot prototype and placed 2nd with his project. He's now competing in regionals with the opportunity to earn Scholarships and prepare for engineering school!

Emily Her dream is to go to MIT and Build Robots at Boston Dynamics
Emily always had an interest in robots — even from a young age. Her goal is to attend MIT and then work on robots like Spot from Boston Dynamics.
Before working with Liz, Emily had basic programming skills in Python.
After working with Liz, Emily learned how to create electronic prototypes and program hardware using C/C++ languages. She's now on her way to programming robots.
