The Timberland Pro TiTAN boots are by far my favorite work boots. I’ve had them for over two years working 8-10+ hour shifts in a manufacturing plant.

They’re super comfortable and break-in very well. I don’t find them to be very clunky or heavy relative to other work boots.

The only downfall about these boots is that they get scuffed up easily, so if you’re looking for shoes that are more on the fashionable side, these may not be the best choice. Check the price on Amazon.

Sketchers for Work Women’s Workshire Peril Steel Toe Boot

The Sketchers for Work Women’s Workshire peril Steel Toe boot is a great pick for those of you who don’t want to wait weeks to break-in boots.

According to most reviews, there’s little to no break-in period! One reviewer claimed the padding in the boot is like a little pillow.

They are comfy, sturdy and also kind of cute in an ass-kicking way! Get your pair here.

Rockport Work Women’s Junction View RK800 Work Shoe

If you’re a fan of Chelsea Boots or Ankle Boots, then look no further! The Rockport Work Women’s Junction View RK800 Work Shoe is designed with safety and style in mind.

One Amazon reviewer wrote:

I was very excited to find these boots, as most women’s safety boots are just not very fashionable, and these have the look of a normal pair of ankle boots while offering steel-toe protection.

– Morgan H.

If I needed a new pair of work boots, I’d probably pick these because I’m a huge fan of Chelsea Boots! The only thing I’d recommend is spraying a coat of waterproofer to keep your feet dry and protect the leather.

Timberland PRO Women’s Hightower

Furthermore, another stylish option is the Timberland PRO Women’s Hightower boot.

This work boot is a mid-rise safety boot with Slip Resistance, Electrical Hazard protection, and a Steel toe. I think it looks pretty sleek and classic looking.

It comes in four different colors made of full-grain leather with a waterproof membrane. The Timberland PRO Hightower is perfect if you’re looking for a women’s work boot that isn’t too bulky or ugly.

TICCOON Work Steel Toe Safety Shoes

Lastly, if you’re looking for a sneaker that looks and protects like a work boot, then I recommend checking out the TICCOON Work Steel Toe Safety Shoes. If you’re skeptical that a sneaker can protect against industrial elements, check out their intriguing promo video.

There are a bunch of options when it comes to TICCOON sneaker safety shoes, so you’re bound to find a style you like. If you’re looking for more of an athletic or casual style and would rather have the feel of a sneaker, this is a good (and protective), option.

If you’re shopping at Walmart, Target, or other retailers online, you can save extra money by shopping with Rakuten (formerly eBates). Rakuten is a free rewards program where you can earn cash-back for both in-store and online purchases. It’s worth checking out since work boots can run you $100 or more! For those of you who’d rather go to a store and try your work boots on before purchasing them, I recommend checking out Kohl’s, the Timberland Factory Stores, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

What to look for when buying work boots

With so many choices now for women’s work boots, you can narrow down your decision by focusing on a couple of key points.

Comfort: How comfortable are these work boots?

Read the reviews online. Try a pair on and walk around in them. Your work boots must be comfortable because you’ll be spending many hours wearing them!

I prioritize comfort over style because I’d rather not have sore feet. However, with that said, that brings me to my next point: style.

Style: How fashionable or clunky are women’s work boots?

It’s easier to find both comfortable and stylish women’s work boots in 2019. This wasn’t necessarily the case a few years ago. I recommend sticking with industry standards when it comes to finding stylish women’s work boots. Timberland, Wolverine, Sketchers for Work, and Rockport are awesome brands, to name a few.

There are also a ton of styles when it comes to women’s work boots. You can buy traditional Tims, or branch out and buy sneakers that have safety protection. There are also Chelsea boots with safety toes that I’m a huge fan of. I expect in 2020, we’ll see even more choices in women’s work boots.

Trial Period/Guarantee: How long can you try out your work boots? Do my boots have a guarantee?

Another thing to consider when you’re buying new work boots is the manufacturer’s guarantee. When you buy a more premium pair of boots like Timberland or Wolverine, you’re often backed by a guarantee. This is great because if you have an issue with your boots you can contact the manufacturer for a repair or replacement. Oftentimes this is free because you invested in their boots!

Furthermore, you can try workboots for a 7-day trial period using Prime Wardrobe. This is a great way to get a few options and try them on to see which boots you like best!

Special Features: What safety features do my work boots have?

If you’re buying work boots for work, then check with your company for requirements. Some companies require additional protections such as ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safe shoes, Electrical Hazard safeguarding, anti-slip, etc.

Most work boots will have a listing of all the safety features they safeguard against in the description. You can look for a listing of ASTM standards to see what your boots are rated for.
